... and I've been writing ever since; first in a series of paper journals that saw me all the way from childhood to universary, after which I discovered the weird and wonderful world of 'online journals', as they were called back then ... and never looked back.
I launched Forever Amber in 2006, as a continuation of those old paper journals, never dreaming that it would one day become my full-time job - almost 20 years later, though, it's still running, and I'm still documenting my life online: my 10 year old self would be so proud!
I want to express my being as fully as I can because I somewhere picked up the idea that I could justify my being alive that way.
My 'current' diary started in 2006, with the launch of this blog. It's now covered everything from the aftermath of my husband's kidney transplant and the launch of our business, to the birth of our son, Max, and everything in between.
I continue to update it as often as I can, with the diary now mostly covering my life as an author, and our adventures here in Scotland, and further afield. Can I keep it going for another 20 years, though? Well, I guess there's only one way to find out...
