I’m definitely not going to buy any of this stuff from the Boden Spring 2016 collection. Nuh-uh.
No, seriously, I mean it: I’m not buying ANY of this stuff. Because that would be NUTS, wouldn’t it?
I mean, did you SEE yesterday’s post, recapping what I wore this week? Just in case you didn’t, let me summarize for you: it was stripes. And then some more stripes. Oh yeah, and also some stripes. Did I mention the stripes? I think I did. One of the stripey items looked a bit like Boden’s Maggie Ottoman dress, in fact:
Which means there’s absolutely NO NEED for me to buy this dress now. None whatsoever. Does that small fact make me want this dress any less, though? Nope, not even a little bit. Because that’s the kind of crazy I am, folks. The kind of crazy that looks at this stripe midi skirt…
Then there’s this top:
The model has her hands in the air, like she just don’t care. And well she should: because she already HAS the top, hasn’t she? (Or she’s wearing it, anyway.) I DON’T have the top, and I’m not GETTING the top either, because, oh, hi there, last year’s Boden top that’s almost identical to it!
So I’m not buying the top, the dress or the skirt: it’s decided. What about something that’s NOT almost identical to something I already own, though?
Hello, off-shoulder striped dress, you cheeky little thing! I can’t justify buying you either right now, because I promised myself I’d save some money this month, but I’m talking to you as if you’re a person, and that’s never a good sign, is it? In fact, it probably means I’m going to stalk you online until you either go on sale or I convince myself I can’t live without you: sorry if that sounds creepy. Oh, and seeing as the Creepy Ship seems to have already set sail here, let the record show that I have this dress in teal:
But now I want it in this turquoise shade, too. And also all of the other colours it’s ever been released in. What can I say: the heart wants what the heart wants, and what MY heart wants is STRIPES. And green things. And a lottery win would come in handy, too, now I come to think of it…
