CASUAL FRIDAY | Cherries and Hearts
“What’s this?” I hear you ask – “Two ‘Casual Fridays’ in a row? Who is this woman, and what has she done with Amber?!”
OK, so I probably won’t keep this up for long, but the weather has made it easier to take outfit photos lately, and as you can probably tell from the muddy dog at my feet (He had to go straight into the bath when we got him home: he has a habit of finding the muddiest puddle around, and then plunging right into it…) and the fact that I’m wearing waterproof flats, we grabbed the opportunity to take some quick shots while we were walking Rubin last week. I mean, it doesn’t really get much more “casual” than an ACTUAL dog walking outfit, right?
This is one of the two Collectif blouses I bought last month, and, as predicted, I’ve been getting quite a lot of use out of them both: they’re just so easy to throw on with trousers or jeans, but they look a little bit smarter than a t-shirt, which means I can be appropriately casual, but still feel a little bit “dressed up”.
The shoes, meanwhile, are part of a small collection of Mel flats which I’m not sure how I managed to live without, because not are they some of the most comfortable flats I’ve ever worn, they’re also perfect for all that mud, given that they just wipe clean when you’re done wearing them. If only the same could be said of Rubin…

Thanks! I don’t have a book deal, unfortunately (or a completed book!), so there are no plans to release one…

I love this shirt – I have the anchor print one and seeing these photos makes me want to wear it again! I have to pin the top closed though, or it’s so low-cut and revealing… Love the shade of these jeans too – very cute look 🙂
Amber
I have to pin mine too: I have issues with v-necks in general ( even ones that would look totally modest on other people will look borderline obscene on me!), but these are particularly low-cut!
Catherine
You do look nice, and Rubin is adorable!

Such a fab relaxed look, love it! I might have to try those Mel flats, as usually i find ballet-pump type shoes to be the most excruciatingly uncomfortable in the world!! x
