“Can you believe that just a few days ago we were taking photos in the snow?”I asked Terry while we were taking these photos a couple of weekends ago.
And, of course, we really should be used to this kind of extreme change in weather by now, but even so, the fact that there was just a few days between this outfit post (in which I wore a winter coat, in a snowy landscape) and the one you’re reading now, still boggles my mind a bit – as does the knowledge that the weather could just as easily swing back to winter again, before we know it. Still, this was the first real day of spring for me: the clocks moved forward that night for Daylight Savings, and even although I woke up at 7am, and couldn’t get back to sleep again, no matter how many dull maths problems I tried to solve in my head, those precious extra hours of daylight made all the difference to my mood.
Also making a difference to my mood is this outfit, most of which you seen me enthuse over in this post, a few weeks ago. Believe it or not, it was actually too warm to wear the matching cardigan (It’s not often I get to say THAT!), which I’ve saved for another outfit, but I was really excited to finally get to wear both the Cordelia top and ‘Talis’ pencil skirt, which work so well together, and make me wish it could always be springtime, and that I could always dress like this, without having to worry about ruining the look with a pair of thick tights and knee-high boots. Instead, I went for my new pink Office pumps: it’s not often you’ll see me wear brightly coloured shoes these days, and it’s even less often that you’ll see me combine them with a brightly coloured outfit, but I guess all of that sunlight must have gone to my head or something – and long may it continue, too!
