… one with poppies, and blue skies, and the summer sun beating down on it. It’s a field of dreams, really, isn’t it?
We discovered the field completely by accident, when we went out for a walk last week, in a local country park. Just as we were pulling out of the car park, we had to pause briefly to wait for a pause in the traffic, and, when it came, there was the field, directly opposite us – almost as if it had been waiting for us, in fact.
Well, as soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew we’d be coming back to take photos in it – and so did Terry, who simply gave me a resigned look when I started shrieking in excitement, and cursing the fact that I was wearing TOTALLY the wrong outfit. And what IS the right outfit to wear in a field, I hear absolutely no one ask? Er, probably not THIS, to be perfectly honest, but I wasn’t about to miss the opportunity to get some great photos, was I?
Luckily, the weather decided to co-operate for once, and a few days later we were back at the Field of Dreams, this time slightly more/less appropriately attired – and we even managed to remember the camera, too, which was handy. Yes.
As for the outfit: well, I figured the Field of Dreams deserved a Dress of Dreams to with it. This one was c/o Choies last summer, and it’s now sold out, unfortunately, which is a shame, because it’s one of my favourite items ever. Although it looks a bit “fancy”, thanks to the floral organza overlay, the slightly shorter length makes it easy enough to dress down, and perfect for a summer’s day. In a field, obviously…
