I would go out tonight, but I haven’t got a stitch to wear
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me when I buy an item of clothing and then discover it’s EXACTLY the same colour as ANOTHER item of clothing I own. It makes me so happy, in fact, that I have to wear both of those items together immediately, even although one of them just so happens to be YET ANOTHER Hell Bunny cardigan, and I promised myself I’d try my best to lay off the cardigans for while. (In my photos, I mean. I’ll obviously still wear them aaaalll the damn time in real life. I’m wearing one as I write this, actually…)
This particular cardigan is, I think, my fifth from this brand, which means I’ve basically collected the whole set in this particular style now. Do I get a prize? No? What do you mean, “It doesn’t work like that?” Oh well, I guess the cardigans are prize enough. I didn’t actually buy this one with the intention of wearing it with this dress, but as soon as I noticed how perfectly matched they were, there was just no other option. They don’t call me Matchy McMatcherston for nothing, you know. Or AT ALL, for that matter.
The dress, meanwhile, is an old one by Louche, and it’s one of my favourite purchases ever. What it’s NOT, however, is particularly versatile, which means that my “remix” section at the bottom of the post is even less inspiring than usual, being basically a couple of extra photos of me wearing the dress in more-or-less the same exact way. Such is the “problem”, if you can call it that (and I DON’T call it that…) of the “statement” dress: it’s designed to be an outfit all by itself, so all you can really do to “remix” it is to wear it with different shoes, and maybe add a cardigan if you feel like going kerrazee.
For this outing, I’ve once again accessorized with The Wind, so apologies for the shocking state of my hair in some of these: I’m seriously starting to wonder why I bother blow-drying it when I could just step outside and let the wind do it for me!

Looking gorgeous as usual! And minty. I was wondering, how come you never do reviews for bags? This Pashli is one of my favourites and I’m also quite curious about your Kate Spades (I guess that’s another collection right there). You always write such good reviews, I don’t really care what they’re for though. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Amber
I actually only really review beauty products here… I haven’t done any clothing/accessory reviews I can think of, although I was thinking of doing some ‘fitting room’ style reviews of some of the stuff I order. I don’t really know much about bags, unfortunately (I just know whether I like them or not!), so I’m not sure how much I’d be able to say about them, or what people would expect me to cover in a review, but if you have any specific questions I’m happy to answer them 🙂

Aaaaarrrrgh! I’m going to have that Smiths song in my head aaaaaaaaall day now!
Vanessa
You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Hey, cardigans are like shoes: one can never have too many of them. Also, that outfit’s like a breath of fresh air.

My friend has this dress too and it is so pretty – she wore it to a wedding and it was just perfect. But as you say, it kind of has to work on its own because there’s not much you could add to it with those colours and the print! And no, you can never have too many cardigans. If I laid all of mine out on the floor I think I could basically make a ‘cardigan rainbow’, probably more than one rainbow if I’m honest… But what else can you do in this country? If you want to wear a dress you’ll be darn cold without one!
Amber
A cardigan rainbow sounds like a GREAT idea to me!

I’ve got my own growing collection of cardigans, but not really any summer appropriate. And by that I mean light colored. I keep eyeing the table of summer ones at the Gap and I may need to finally come home with a couple. Love these you’ve been getting. The color of this one is perfect.

Wow, what a beautiful dress, and isn’t it a wonderful feeling when you discover that something new matches perfectly without even trying?! Absolutely lovely.

Gorgeous dress and I love the cardigan, beautiful colour.

I love these photos. I have this dress (Dolly Clackett gave it to me) and I never have any idea what to wear it with. I’d never have considered wearing something with a cardigan in the same colour, I’m more of a contrast girl.

This is a really nice coord. I wasn´t fan of outfits in one colour until about two years ago, I started to think it looks nice back then. Interesting how one evolves, right?

Wow, what a CUTE pairing! This is not a color I would have picked out as beautiful, but it looks so incredible on you and as another redhead, now I want to go buy more clothing in this shade, haha.

Well, there’s The Smiths in my head for the rest of the day.
You look gorgeous; this dress is total perfection! I’m mad for a good polka dot print.
