I bought this sweater in an H&M in California – in Santa Monica, in fact.

I’ve said before that I think clothes make pretty good holiday souvenirs, because every time you wear them, you remember where you were when you bought them, and all of those happy memories come flooding back.

To be perfectly honest, though, looking at these photos is actually making me feel a little bit sad. Mostly because that middle one is seriously cringey – like, what the hell did I think I was doing there? (Answer: trying to ‘puff up’ my ponytail, so it wouldn’t make me look bald, like ponytails normally do. Obviously.)  But also because I bought this sweater in California and, well, I’m not there any more. And I really, really wish I was. Tiny violins at the ready, people…

I feel like I should be making some kind lame ‘I went to California and all I got was this lousy sweater’ joke here, but of course, it’s NOT a lousy sweater (and it’s not all I got either: there was also that awesome biker jacket that I can’t seem to stop wearing. And all that makeup.): it’s actually a pretty cute one. As soon as I saw it, I started picturing it with a pair of black capri pants (which is why I’m wearing them here, obvs), but it has that retro kind of feel to it, so it’ll also look good with pencil skirts, full skirts and… skirts, basically.

Anyway, I can’t seem to find this on the H&M website, but I just got it a few weeks ago, so you might be able to find it in store, if you particularly want to. OR it might just be available in L.A., in which case if you pay the airfare and hotel, I’ll go there for you and buy you one. I’ll even pay for it myself. Do we have a deal?

    Cute sweater!

I love buying clothes on vacation and all the memories they bring back when you wear them…

The sweater is super cute, but you’re also making me glad I’m about to shell out more than I actually paid on a pair of Collectif Bonnies to get them to fit like yours look here i.e. well. Although they’re not capris, they’re cigarette pants, but kinda look the same, right? I guess they’re not the same and what I’m really saying is you’re making me feel excited about wearing a pair of trousers that fits me for once in my damn life. And there ain’t nothing wrong with that. Sorry, think I’m having a Friday afternoon brain melt…

Firstly, I like the new gold lettering in your header! Secondly, I echo CiCi’s thoughts on your fab capri pants – I have been eyeing up those ones from House of Foxy but been a bit reluctant because of the price. Bought a lindybop pair today that aren’t half bad but are a bit thinner so no good for winter really.

And I love heart-print on anything! xx

Coming back from a holiday with something new to wear is the best! Nothing better than fashion and a memory in one. (I’ve come over from CiCi’ Marie, will be back to see what’s new with you too)
