MAybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Review

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara Review

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara was always going to be of interest to me as I wandered down the beauty aisle at Target last month, and there are two main reasons for that, namely:

01. It has the word “falsies” in the name.

02. Also the word “drama”.

03. I’m physically incapable of walking into Target and not buying something.

04. It was the last day of my holiday, and I was doing that, “If I HAVE to go home, I may as well spend all my remaining money first,” thing. Don’t try to pretend you haven’t done it.

It was mostly the whole “DRAMA” thing, though, because, as I’m sure you know by now, I am ALL about the drama when it comes to everything mascara, and if a product tries to claim it’s going to make me look like I’m wearing false lashes, then I’m probably going to buy it, you know? Now, there was a time when I used to shun all Maybelline mascaras, on account of the extreme hatred I have for their best-selling Great Lash Mascara, which I will never understand the appeal of, as long as I live. A couple of years ago, though, I bought a tube of their Illegal Length Mascara, which I love, and still use fairly regularly, so I figured I’d give this one a go, too.

Here’s what it looks like in the tube:

And here’s the brush:

I went for the waterproof version, which I always do, because I find that waterproof formulas are better at locking in the curl, and making the lashes look longer. It has one of those rubbery brushes, which is quite good at preventing clumping, and here’s what it looks like on:

Now, I think it goes without saying here that this has totally failed in its mission to make me look like I’m wearing false eyelashes, which means that, in a cage match between Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama and Illegal Length, I’d be going with the latter, which definitely adds a bit more length. With that said, this is still one of the better budget mascaras I’ve tried, so I’m not disappointed in the results: if you want to try it for yourself, though, you can buy it here.

  • Fun!

I always “have” to buy random things when I’m on vacation… 🙂

I loved reading about your vacation (partially because I’ve been living in California for 20+ years and haven’t ever seen all the cool places you visited…).

I thought I was the only one who dislikes Great Lash Mascara. I have never understood why it is always listed as the best cheap mascara. I wouldn’t use it no matter how cheap it is.
