Outfit | Polka dot pencil dress and red high heels
OMG, you guys, it’s spring!
It’s actually officially been spring since last Friday, which, as I mentioned in my weekly roundup post, dawned dull and overcast, meaning that we got to see the solar eclipse through a haze of cloud-cover. As I said to Terry later, though, once the eclipse was over, the sun came out fighting: it was almost as if it got a bit of a shock when the moon passed in front of it, and thought, “The hell with this: no one’s going to be eclipsing ME again in a hurry!”
The result has been a few days of absolutely glorious spring weather. I absolutely love this time of year: I know that as a fashion blogger, I’m contractually obliged to gush over autumn and declare it to be my favourite season, but honestly, you can keep your decaying leaves and freezing winds – just give me springtime, with the daffodils starting to bud, the sun warm on your skin, and that “fresh start” feeling in the air. Love it.
Anyway, spring weather means I get to wear some of my favourite spring clothes again, so on Sunday I broke out this Zara pencil dress, which I bought last year – in navy AND in white, because when you find a dress you like, and it’s only £20, well, you might as well get two, no? Just as when I wear black and white I always want to add red, something about polka dots makes me want to wear cherries with them. This cardigan was from Collectif a couple of years ago: the cream version doesn’t seem to be in stock at the moment, but you can normally find these on eBay, and the black version is available at the Collectif website.
Finally, my shoes are from good ol’ Primark, and have held up pretty well considering they only cost me about £12!

Navy, white and red, I have always loved it too. Yours is fab. One thing that fills me with joy and awe is spring flowers peeping through bleak dark wet soil, and of course sunshine and blue skies. It’s my favourite season too, it’s like the world is coming to life again.

Polka dots and cherries are definitely a classic combination – and I’m sure you can already guess I am a fan of that cardigan. Collectif <3 I am entirely with you on autumn – it's cold and the weather's usually rubbish, why do people seem to love it more than beautiful, glorious Spring?!

Fashion bloggers are obliged to like Autumn? Why?

Ah, this dress is my one major regret! I tried it on in Zara but put it back, then changed my mind and went back for it and they were all gone! I’ve searched eBay but only found it for crazy prices (I guess because it was so popular) – so frustrating because it’s gorgeous! Love the cardigan and the way you’ve tied it too 🙂

No way, this is the dress I was talking about in my last post! I love it, wish I’d got the white one too. I actually tend to wear it with those exact shoes too, I can’t help but reach for the red! I’m going to have to think of something new to wear it with! You look fab, as always.
