Summer swimsuits and the ShopBop sale
Well, it’s snowing again. I mean, really, March? All about the dramatic entrances, huh? Also: GAH.
Anyway, it may be snowing in Scotland, but my head is firmly in California right now (My head is pretty much always in California, to be perfectly honest…), and even although we still have MONTHS to go before our vacation there, I’ve already started stocking up on swimwear, because what else do you buy when it’s so cold outside you can’t even feel your own face? Exactly.
As some of you know, I’m lucky enough to be sponsored by Shopbop, who have enabled my retro onepiece addition lately with these two beauties, both of which I can’t WAIT to wear. The white suit is by Norma Kamali, and I’ve wanted one of these for years now: they’re the ultimate in retro-lover’s swinswear as far as I’m concerned, and this one piece is basically evening wear in swimsuit form. “Imagine if Marilyn Monroe was a dress,” I said to Terry (who was completely uninterested in imagining anything of the sort, naturally): THIS is totally the swimsuit she’d be. And it really is: it even gives me a waist, and given that I was sadly born without one, that’s no mean feat.
The other swimsuit is by Kate Spade, and, well, bows and stripes: what more can I say? Anyway! Shopbop have asked me to mention their Big Event sale, which runs from now until Tuesday Sunday March 8, 2015 4:00AM Eastern Time (New York time zone), offering up to 25% off purchases, including sale items: you can check it out here – just leave a few of the swimsuits for me, because likes shoes and coats, you can never have too many. Even when you live in Scotland…
[Disclosure: Shopbop sponsor this site, however I was not paid for this post.]
