What I Bought in the Zara sale
I mentioned in Saturday’s post that I’d bought this skirt in the Zara sale, and I ended up wearing it that very day, so I managed to grab some quick photos.
Now, I know you’re probably thinking I bought this skirt purely for the matchy-matchy opportunity it would present when combined with the shoes and sweater, but while that does sound like the kind of thing I would do, I’m innocent of all charges. For once. Actually, I bought the skirt with the intention of wearing it with something else entirely (OK, OK, it was the sweater they’d styled it with on the Zara website a few months ago. And which I ALSO bought in the Zara sale.), but as soon as I realised it was such a perfect match for the aforementioned shoes and sweater, well, there was just no way I wasn’t going to do that, was there?
Anyway, I’d had my eye on this skirt for a while, so I was secretly quite pleased that it was cool enough for a sweater on the day these were taken, because who wants to have to wait to wear something new? Not me – although thanks to my habit of buying things out of season (Or, you know, buying things that not even a real-life princess would have much of an opportunity to wear), I almost always DO have to wait. Aaaand with that said, I totally can’t think of a way to bring this post to a natural conclusion, so I’m going to slink off like a really bad host at a party, and leave you all to talk amongst yourselves. Feel free to help yourself to anything in the fridge!

The skirt is so pretty and it’s a bargain. Looks great on you.

Darn it, I can tell this skirt falls into the category of ‘skirts that are 1″ too long for me and make me look like a hobbit” – it’s so pretty!

Hello Amber! I have never been much of a fashion slave or mad about the 50’s style, but I have to say your blog is making this style grow on me quite a bit. But would quitting my job because I can’t dress like this at work be such a good idea?

Everything looks good on you! I’d be very busy if I were you because I’d be constantly buy and try on new clothes. I am happily imperfect 🙂

Amber, have you ever had an quality issues with Zara clothes. A few times I’ve ventured into their store here only to find piles of yet unbought clothes with threads loose, buttons missing, discolouration….

Not that I can think of!

Your writing as always is = hilarious = Can I finish off that chocolate in the pantry then? 😉
I do love the complete co-ordination of this outfit though, and the color is just so pretty! ❤
