Friday Five (+ Boden Elsa Ottoman Dress)
I’ll get to the Friday 5 part of this post in a minute, but first…
New green dress! Which is absolutely NOT the same as the LAST green dress I got from Boden, so don’t even think it. And, I mean, it’s a similar green dress, sure… but the second I saw this one, I knew I was going to have to buy it, and then, the second it arrived, I knew I was probably going to have to buy it multiple colours, too. Like the stripe version, for instance. Or the other stripe version. Seriously, Boden, why must you do this to me?!
Anyway, as even I can see that two green dresses in the space of a few weeks is ever-so-slightly excessive, all I’ll say here is that I could not recommend this dress more. I LOVE it. It fits like a glove (this is my usual size, regular length), is super-comfy to wear, and, best of all, does not crease. Like, AT ALL. So, no regrets, people. Now, on to the Friday 5… Questions this week come from here, and are pretty ancient, really, because, once again, I didn’t fancy any of the newer ones. Next week I’ll try harder to answer the most recent set of questions, even if I hate them, I promise…
01. What’s the dumbest thing you did this week?
Well, there was the whole ‘Steam Cleaner’ incident: that was none too clever, although that technically happened last week, so I guess it doesn’t count.
This week, meanwhile, Terry and I went to TGI Fridays on Sunday, purely to get a plate of their cheese nachos, and while I was looking at the menu, I found myself uttering the immortal words, “Ooh, look, they have Scorpion Wings! I didn’t even know scorpions HAD … oh.”
Let’s not even THINK about how confused I was the first time I heard of ‘Buffalo wings”…
2. In what way did you save yourself time or energy this week?
It’s so cute the way this quiz assumes I’m an actual grown-up, who finds ways to save herself time and/or energy on the regular, but HAHA, no I’m not. I don’t really think I DID save myself time or energy this week, unless combining my morning run with Pokemon hunting counts? Does that count? Because that’s some high-level multi-tasking right there, people, for real.
3. How were you wasteful of personal and natural resources this week?
Wow, why so judgey, Friday Five? What are you trying to say about me?!
I don’t think I was particularly wasteful of natural resources this week, to be honest. I DID waste my personal resource of TIME, by spending far too much of it tooling around on the internet, rather than getting things done, but that’s par for the course with me, really. I sometimes think I should get Terry to put one of those parental controls on my computer, just to keep me off ASOS and Bloglovin’ for long enough to get some work done, but then again, who am I kidding? What’s the point of life, after all, if you can’t check out the ‘New In’ section at ASOS every couple of hours?
4. When this week did you take advantage of the opportunity to keep your mouth shut?
Soooo, if I were to answer this question honestly, it would basically be the EXACT OPPOSITE of “keeping my mouth shut”, wouldn’t it? Or, at least, I might have technically kept my mouth shut, but then I’d have used my hands to blab whatever it was I was supposed to be keeping quiet about all over the internet. Nuh-uh: you’re not going to trap me into making a rookie mistake like that, Friday Five, so let the record show that I am right now, this very second, keeping my mouth shut. So there.
5. In what way this week were you blessed or fortunate?
Don’t you mean #SOBLESSED? Sorry, I just can’t take that word seriously ever since those pesky bloggers ruined it for us all. Bloggers, huh?
Serious note: I am blessed in so many ways that I can’t even begin to count them all, but right now I’m MOST blessed by all of you people out there reading this. You’re the best. Yes, YOU.
Have a great weekend!

I need that dress – Gorgeous and yay for some sunshine!

Yay for Friday 5! If you ever get sick of the questions from this site, there’s another blog I follow that does a Monday Poll, which is similar, and she has really interesting questions too (not that yours aren’t!) I don’t know if she makes them up herself or gets them from somewhere else, but it’s http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com.
1. I can’t actually think of anything for this. I have been home sick most of the week, so haven’t done much of anything at all, really. 2. Um… same answer as before? I didn’t go to work for about 3 days, does that count as saving time? 3. This is a pretty judgy question all right… I didn’t go to work, so I saved petrol. 4. Not sure what to say for this one! 5. I suppose I should be grateful for quite a lot, but right now I’m just thankful that the flu I had seems to be finally going away. And that’s pretty much the theme for all my answers this week, so not very interesting!
