The Ghostwriter of Christmas Past is Out Now
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I am Not a Christmas Person.
But my cousin Bonnie is. And she’s been trying to win me over to the dark side for years now. A couple of years ago, for instance, a mystery elf appeared on my doorstep, all the way from Canada. Last year? A set of festive tea towels.
It was just after the delivery of the tea towels (Which, as Bonnie likes to start the festivities indecently early, naturally happened in November) that Bonnie sent me this screenshot:
The plot of The Ghostwriter of Christmas Past has actually departed quite a bit from that initial little nugget of inspiration, but it does still involve a main character who hates Christmas, but lives in a town that’s obsessed with it, and … well, I guess you’ll have to read it if you want to know the rest.
It’s out today in paperback and ebook formats (You can find it by typing the title into your local Amazon site), is available on Kindle Unlimited, and the audiobook version is coming soon, so look out for that too.
I guess I should probably start describing myself as at least sort of a ‘Christmas Person’ now that I’m officially the author of a Christmas book, huh?

The Ghostwriter of Christmas Past
Ghostwriter Holly Hart lives in a town where everyone’s obsessed with two things:
1. Christmas
and…
2. Holly’s ex-boyfriend, Elliot Sinclair… who just so happened to write a bestselling Christmas novel based on his relationship with Holly, before disappearing from her life completely.
All of this makes life pretty tough for a Christmas-hating grinch like Holly, who’s completely given up on romance. But when she’s given the opportunity to ghostwrite a Christmas romance novel for popular author Vivienne Faulkner, Holly sees an opportunity to get her revenge on Elliot by using the book to tell her own — true — version of the story.
It seems like the perfect plan.
But now Elliot’s suddenly back in town — and rumor has it he’s working on a new book, too. Can Holly write the perfect Christmas romance, while somehow avoiding her ex… or will the ghosts of Christmas past continue to haunt them both?
