A few days ago, we found ourselves in Burbank, so naturally I insisted on paying a quick visit to two of my favourite stores ever: PinUp Girl Couture and Unique Vintage.
What I hadn’t realised, however, was that Magnolia Bouevard, which is where both stores are located, (I KNOW. What a street, right?) pretty much closes every Monday: PinUp Girl was closed, as were most of the little vintage stores I’d seen last time we were in the area, so I left empty-handed. Oh well, at least I have an excuse to go back – not that I’d really have needed one, because the whole street is so crammed full of interesting little boutiques, both vintage and just vintage-inspired, that I could probably spend the rest of the trip there without complaining. I mean, I’d be bankrupt by the end of day one, obviously, but hey: at least I’d be well-dressed!
(That was a joke, by the way: shop responsibly, kids!)
Anyway, I DID spot this cool blue wall to take photos against, and there was even a random American flag sitting right next to it: it was meant to be!

09/11/2015Didn’t you know that we all carry flags around with us over here, and just toss them about like birdseed so that international visitors will pick them up and participate in our overblown patriotism??? We wouldn’t want you to stand out as abnormal!

09/13/2015Finding that flag was definitely a win! It goes perfectly with your striped dress. I just really love this dress and how classic and flattering it is.
