Yesterday I brought you the sad tidings that the Botanics Radiant Red line had been discontinued. How we mourned. Today, though, I have some better tidings for redheads, with the news that Batiste Dry Shampoo is now FINALLY available in a version designed especially for us – yay!

This has been a long time coming, and I’ve often complained that while this product is available in almost every other colour (deep brown, brunette, blonde, black – even silver and gold) we redheads had been a little neglected by the brand, and forced to settle for the regular version of the product, and the white residue it can sometimes leave.

Now, however, we have our own version available: Batiste Red retails for £3.99 per can and can be found at Boots and Superdrug. It promises to deliver the same grease-busting, texture adding benefits as the other versions of the product, but with a shot of colour which will disguise any residue, and, they say, can also be used to disguise your roots and boots your colour.

I haven’t tried it yet, but will try to pick up a can next time I’m out beauty shopping. Anyone tried it yet?

  1. I haven’t tried the red one, but I know for a fact that the blonde one helps hide my roots! It’s a complete life saver! If the red one works anywhere near as well then it’ll be perfect 🙂

  2. I’ve used this twice so far with great success! I’ve always had to be careful with dry shampoos because they’ve either left a whitish cast or somehow activated the frizz I work so hard to get rid of.
I don’t know if its only me, but I find the texture of this dry shampoo less chalky than regular dry shampoos.

  3. I got it and used it straight away, that’s how delighted I was to see’s perfect for those of us with red tresses, even accentuates the colour a little bit which is nice.
