Miami boat cruise

Five hundred degrees in the Caribbean seas…

Wandering around downtown Miami, FloridaMiami skyline and American flag

Miami boat tourThe camera was on the wrong setting for some of these photos, because the sun was so bright it was impossible to see what was on the screen. I think when “too bright sunlight” is your biggest problem on any given day, however, you can generally consider that day to be a success, so I’m just going to gloss over the bleached-out-ness (totally a word) and concentrate instead on that amazing skyline. Isn’t it fantastic?

These photos were taken during and after a boat trip. the main purpose of which was to show us the houses of the rich and famous, which are dotted around the islands surrounding South Beach. As awesome as the houses were, though, the best part was actually the views of the city we got from the boat, which were just stunning. Afterwards, we wandered along Ocean Drive and down to the beach, where the sun was just going down, and the city was starting to come to life. Needless to say, we’re loving Miami: I feel like we’ve been here forever already, and honestly, being here forever would be just fine by me.*

(*Maybe not in the Haunted Rental House, though.)

  • This is such a beautiful dress and I was just thinking about how it’s been a while since I’d seen any updates from you and that I hoped you were having a good time, so it’s lovely to read that you are 😉 X

In these light conditions try using your on-camera flash (unless you have a flash gun)

    July 1, 2013
  • Flash wouldn’t have done any good as I almost always take pictures with the largest possible aperture to get maximum bokeh.

  • Yes they are all in my kit Myra 🙂 In saying that I don’t use them or any other attachments as I don’t like carrying anything with me other than the Camera.

  • Gorgeous style as always and I love your photos!
I’d love to spend some time in the sun too, no matter if it’s hot and bright as we have had far too much rain and cold temperatures.
