Green Black Friday Savings at Lands’ End

green plaid shirt autumn outfit [This post is sponsored by Lands End. Thanks for supporting the brands that help keep the site online!]

I’ve got three words for you, people:

Fleece. Lined. Leggings.

Leggings on top, sweatpants underneath: total game-changer. Especially for people like me, who don’t remember how they used to dress themselves before it became socially acceptable to just wear leggings all the time (Thanks, pandemic…), but who get cold as soon as the temperature drops below 20 degrees centigrade. Yes.

These leggings are from Lands’ End, who you might remember sent me a gorgeous forest green (or ‘deep balsam’ as they call it) coat last month, and their site is absolutely full of this colour right now, which makes me very happy indeed, because forest green is my black; basically –– i.e. it’s the colour I consider my ultimate “basic” (Real black is way too draining for me to be able to wear a lot of it, but dark green somehow works, despite the fact that it’s a similarly dark shade), and the fact that there’s so much of it around these season means I’m in my element. This is my time, people: and you better believe I’ve been making the most of it.

Just to prove it, I’m also wearing a deep balsm t-shirt under this blackwatch plaid shirt: I love the fact that both of these are long enough to wear with my ever-present leggings, and the fact that I can layer them together is good too, because it might not look all that cold in these photos, but you can rest assured, I had my trusty puffer jacket waiting for me just out of shot.

With Black Friday coming up, I really recommend keeping an eye on the Lands’ End website to see what savings they have coming up: there’s a fantastic gifts section if you’re shopping for someone else,  and I really rate the cashmere, if you feel like getting a little treat for yourself, too. I have this funnel neck sweater in fresh ivory, and it’s one of those classic pieces that you just know you’re going to be wearing for years to come. I’ve been styling mine with a pair of slim, ankle-length trousers, but it would also look good dressed down with trousers and jeans

For partywear, meanwhile, I’m loving the velvet ankle leg trousers (Hey, guess what colour they come in? Did you guess ‘deep balsm’? Congratulations, you guessed right…), or, alternatively, the velvet jeans, which, liked most of Lands’ Ends clothing, come in petite, regular and plus size. (This is one of the main reasons I’m loving this brand at the moment: I find it so hard to find petite-leg trousers in a range of styles, so I really appreciate that they cater to us shorter people, too.)
