Well, folks, after a week-and-a-half of non-stop rain, fog, and general misery, Sunday dawned, not only sunny, but also warm. Yes, WARM. Well, warm for the end of November, I mean. I wouldn’t have wanted to sunbathe in it or anything, but it was pleasant enough to take these photos, and thank goodness for that, because I was starting to think I might never be able to do another outfit post, ever again. I’m sure you’d all have coped just fine, obviously, but if a fashion blogger wears an outfit, but doesn’t take photos of it, DID IT EVEN HAPPEN? I have no idea. These thoughts are way too deep for a Monday morning.

Anyway, just a very quick post today, because it’s all go around here today, and, in addition to my usual blogging duties, I also have to find time to take some photos of our brand new, totally finished powder room. Yup, you read that right: the powder room is finally – FINALLY – complete! By which I mean, “there’s still some stuff we want to do to it, but we ran out of money and, also, patience, so we’re just going to call it a day.”

I’ll try to get a post up on that later in the week, but for now I’ll leave you with this red skirt, which is one of my most prized possessions, and which I always associate with December: partly because that’s when I first wore it, but also because there’s just something very festive about a bright red skirt, don’t you think? And you all know me: just full of the joys of the season!

Red is such a hot color! I think that anyone who is able to flaunt it well is really hot! The skirt is fabulous and the pumps are to die for!!!

I knew that was going to be a Chicwish number – I really want a red skirt, definitely is wonderfully festive. And good find on those Primark shoes!

Whoops, no, didn’t mean to imply it was from ChicWish – mine is actually by Tibi: I just included the ChicWish link as mine is a couple of years old now, so it’s out of stock! The ChicWish one looks similar, but probably wouldn’t be identical – they’re nice skirts, but they’re not Tibi quality 🙂

Is it really sad that I can’t wait to see the finished powder room?

Gorgeous look, I have a red skirt in a similar shape, and I recently bought my first poloneck, a red and grey striped one, so I might have to do an Amber-tribute outfit (though you might have to wait until the thaw before I can take any photos of it…)

Ha, I would love that! I just recently realised that I’m rarely without a turtleneck at this time of year – I suspect this might be a bit weird of me, but I do love ’em 🙂

I love that skirt! And that shoes! Ok, I love skirts, shoes and red skirts and red shoes…
But if I wore that skirt I would look like the house of Papa Smurf (Grande Puffo in Italian)

OK, I need that red skirt. It looks amazing on you, would probably not look good on me but I’d chance it because it is yummy!!
